Site planning and design,
particularly in these days of rapid development, environmental concerns
and regulatory requirements, involve applying a vast amount of
professional knowledge
and a range of skills with the ability to work with people. It requires
in-depth understanding of and interpretation of geotechnical issues and
topography; federal and local stormwater
regulations, water, sanitary and stormwater system design, as well as
right-of-way and highway issues. Site planning and design involve
the ability to balance the clients' needs against a myriad of
constraints. Paragon Associates stays current with professional
skills and training in order to provide the best possible design
solutions. |

| Eagle Bluff
Elementary School, Onalaska, Wisconsin |
|
|
|
The
School District of Onalaska hired Paragon Associates to survey, plan and
engineer the construction of a new elementary school. In addition, we
developed the plans for the associated softball, soccer, and physical education
playing fields.
Paragon also completed the access design to the new school. The
North Theater Road design required working around several important
concerns, including water supply for fire protection, steep slopes,
periodic heavy traffic during school events, and an intersection with a
very busy county trunk highway. Lighting, landscaping and a bike trail
were also included.
Paragon coordinated with the City of Onalaska, the Department of
Transportation, and the School District to provide safe and convenient
access and service.
